Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and engaging Benefits Specialist. If you love working in an energizing environment, like to be challenged, and value the opportunity to make a difference, this is the job for you!

Under the supervision of the Head of Total Rewards and Employee Services, This position is responsible for assisting in the administration of company benefit programs, providing services to the employees and the monthly billings for benefit plans.

Specific accountabilities include:

  • Manage all aspects of Employee Contracts.

  • Provide consultative service to employees regarding employee benefits, including eligibility, elections, changes, questions and escalated benefit issues.

  • Assist in preparation and execution of annual open enrolment.

  • Ensure the company’s compliance in all benefits related areas.

  • Act as liaison between HR, vendors and employees to provide support as it relates to benefit policies and procedures.

  • Provide support through the on-boarding process of new hires by answering questions and conducting benefit orientations.

  • Manage the maintenance and storage of employee benefit records and accurate employee data entry in HRIS system and administration of benefits enrolment, retirement and other transactions.

  • Assist with reconciliation and audit of monthly billings.

  • Will be responsible for Quality control for the team.


  • The HR Admin staff will report directly into the Snr benefit specialist.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience with Benefits Administration.

Personal attributes, qualities or competencies:

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations.

  • Outstanding verbal, written and multi-tasking skills with a high level of interpersonal skills.

  • Experience in Microsoft Office products and internet savviness.

  • Experience in Oracle E-Business Suit.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with extreme Attention to Detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field is preferred.
