About the Business Line

Building Engineering

We deliver creative solutions for building projects for industry, government, commercial and leisure sectors. Our building engineering specialists have expertise in structural and building services engineering, fire engineering, acoustics, facades and seismic design. We embed sustainability principles in every design.

Job Summary

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Working in a dynamic team and with leading edge technology, your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation and checking of calculations required for the design of engineering projects

  • Producing detailed designs and documentation for the implementation of medium to large sized engineering projects.

  • Assisting in the analysis of technical information.

  • Preparation of specifications, proposals and other tender documentation.

  • Undertaking site inspections and associated reporting, liaison with clients, sub-consultants and contractors.

  • Mentoring of young Engineers.

  • Drive Innovation across the unit.

Minimum Requirements

Experience:

  • Candidate should be professionally registered Structural engineer with 8+ years experience.

Personal attributes, qualities or competencies needed:

  • A solid background in the design of industrial and commercial structures with particular experience in reinforced concrete and structural steel.

Other comments:

  • Familiar with BIM applications, such as Revit.

  • Sound knowledge in the use of structural analysis software such as Prokon.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree would be beneficial.
