Job Summary

AECOM has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Training Coordinator in Carlsbad, New Mexico.

The successful candidate will perform duties and responsibilities associated with the CCP training and qualification program, as described in CCP training procedures. This is a lead position within CCP Training. Determine initial and continuing training needs for each CCP position in the form of a job needs analysis (jointly with line management). Develop and present training for qualification of personnel and to meet continuing training needs. Monitor requirements and propose updates to CCP training program procedures in response to changing requirements and operational experience (lessons learned). Ensure qualification/training records and supporting documentation (exams, audio/video recorded media) are properly maintained, secured, and controlled. Review and approve comprehensive examinations for thoroughness and adequacy. Manage the process for preparation and publication of Lists of Qualified Individuals used by field managers to determine operator qualification status. Evaluate adequacy of training performed by authorized non-Training personnel. With management concurrence, oversee work activities assigned to others in CCP Training.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required.

  • Six (6) years of experience in a training related discipline.

  • Proficiency with MSOffice is required.

  • Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be US Citizens.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Six (6) years of training experience working in a DOE, DOD, or other government agency is preferred.

  • Knowledge of the Hazardous Waste Facility Permit Waste Acceptance Plan, the DOE WIPP Waste Acceptance Criteria, and the Training requirements in the CBFO Quality Assurance Program Document is preferred.

  • Previous WIPP experience preferred.
