Job Summary

AECOM has an exciting opportunity for an experienced

Procedures Manager in Carlsbad, New Mexico.

he successful candidate will be organizationally accountable for the day to day functions, processes and deliverables of the Procedures and Document Services Organization. Ensures the design, development and distribution of administrative and technical procedures and documents support the operations of the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) with respect to normal, abnormal, and emergency conditions. Will ensure that personnel assigned to the organization perform their duties and activities regarding format, order, clarity, conciseness, style, terminology, verification and validation in accordance with directing procedures and the established writers guide. The successful candidate will exemplify the desired culture and philosophies of the company, which include integrity, safety, teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement to work effectively with all levels of site personnel. The Procedures Manager will be required to be Mine Safety Hazard trained in order to perform plant/facility walk-downs, from which they will use their observations to incorporate human factors standards, performance capabilities and technical accuracy.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with ten (10) years of related experience, or

  • Associate’s degree with fourteen (14) years of experience is required.

  • Ten (10) years’ experience within a DOE, commercial nuclear or industrial facility writing administrative and technical procedures.

  • Three (3) years’ experience in a managerial or supervisory position within a DOE, commercial nuclear or industrial facility, preferably in a Procedures group.

  • Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be US Citizens.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expected competencies in technical writing, communication.

  • Procedure Professional Association Certification preferred.

  • Previous WIPP experience is preferred.
