AECOM has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Instructor - Analyst Developer in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
The successful candidate will have the experience, knowledge, and competence to perform requested classroom and or field/work training within the electrical, mechanical and I&C fields. Develops solutions to problems of unusual complexity which require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovativeness. Works under consultative direction toward long-range goals and objectives. Assignments are often self-initiated. Virtually self-supervisory. Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively. Computer use and database skills. Leadership skill, ie; capability to influence others a must.
The Instructor - Analyst/Developer (A/D) will have experience, knowledge and competence to perform all aspects of the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT), as required by DOE O 426.2 in support of a nuclear operating facility. Competencies include; Job and Task Analyses, Objective Design,Course Content and Examination Development and classroom and or field/work Instruction/Evaluation (OJT/OJE). The candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of formal and informal training and perform training determinations in ascertaining whether or not information and or skill require formal or informal training. The candidate will be proficient with DOE O 426.2, DOE-STD 1070-94, and DOE-HDBK 1078-94. The job will require the A/D to interface with Subject Matter Experts as necessary during the Analysis, Design and Development phases of new or revised training creation. The candidate will be responsible and accountable to ensure all training meets or exceeds above identified Orders, Standards, and HDBKS.
The candidate if selected will receive MSHA Safety training in order to perform underground facility walk-downs, from which they will use their observations to incorporate human factors standards, performance capabilities and technical accuracy.
Bachelor's Degree plus six (6) years relevant experience or
Associate's Degree plus ten (10) years relevant experience.
Must have at least ten (10) years working with Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance and I & C personnel and organizations.
Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be US Citizens.
DOE/Commercial Nuclear experience preferred.
Knowledge and capability with VISION from Focus Learning preferred.
Previous WIPP experience preferred.
