Job Summary

Located in our state of the art offices in Canberra CBD, the Landscape Architect will be working on current infrastructure projects mixed with a market facing role where you will be part of a team that will have a main focus on positioning and winning work, overseeing project delivery including active involvement in design and the growth and development of the landscape architectural practice in Australia.

This role will suit someone looking to take ownership and drive a variety of projects with the support and backing of the wider practice. Projects will vary from small through to major covering urban public realm, infrastructure, residential, transportation and public domain for both Greenfield and Brownfield sites for internal, private and public clients. Some examples of key projects you could be working on would include: Green Square Town Centre, Mooloolaba Waterfront and Townsville Waterfront.

You will be working with driven professionals across design disciplines and various end-markets who are passionate, smart, creative, curious and quirky but proud to be part of a company that is dedicated to delivering a better world.

Some of your main responsibilities will include:

  • Assist the Practice Lead to develop business development strategies, key practice focus areas and general operational matters

  • Provide technical or specialist expertise on key projects across ANZ and AECOM globally

  • Be responsible for general Clients and Consultants relationships in accordance with the Landscape Architectural key practice strategies

  • Undertake and overview all landscape architectural project procurement and production to ensure the project deliverables are met and maintained within the budget and agreed performance parameters

Provide overview to ensure that the Landscape Architectural team incudes staff with adequate proficiency in Sketch Up, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office and Autocad.

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience working in built and infrastructure development

  • Qualified to Degree level in Landscape Architecture

  • Proven ability working in a team delivering projects

  • Proficient with AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign. 3D modelling (3d Max/Sketch Up) would be considered an advantage

  • Qualified to Degree level in Landscape Architecture
