AECOM has an opportunity for a highly qualified candidate to provide research, planning and analysis support to U.S. Pacific Command (USPACOM) in the area of Logistics Common Operational Picture (LOGCOP) development.
AECOM is looking for a candidate to provide timely research and analysis of current USPACOM plans and processes in order to identify high-value logistic gaps where low-cost innovative non-materiel solutions--both within and outside of the Department of Defense can be applied to support, streamline, and enable the Commanders’ capabilities. This position will interrogate and review USPACOM’s operational plans and develop a traceable methodology to identify gaps in strategy and offer potential solutions and courses of actions for the USPACOM staff. This may include the development of solution roadmaps, status dashboards, and logistic estimate reports
This position will be responsible to review and assess existing USPACOM tools and software capable of identifying gaps in logistics support required to execute USPACOM plans. This candidate will identify and maintain situational awareness of successful logistics planning tools, such as advanced supply chain analytics and machine-learning modeling programs, in order to integrate them (when possible and applicable) into the planning process. This candidate will investigate, plan, and incorporate new logistic support technology and approaches into operationally relevant tests for validation and assessment.
This position requires a bachelor's degree and minimum of eight (8) years of experience supporting the DoD; desire at least three (3) years’ experience working in the PACOM AOR.
The candidate must possess theater knowledge and advanced joint planning skills to shape and provide the desired deliverables in support of USPACOM plans.
The candidate should be familiar with strategic and campaign plan documents from National Command Authority through Combatant Command and Joint Task Force level. They should be well versed in joint doctrine and logistics planning. Must have detailed knowledge of USPACOM policy and strategy and a thorough understanding of USPACOM TCP/TCO, GCPs, CT EXORD, OPLANs, CONPLANs, and Theater Security Cooperation Plans including linkages to parallel national interests.
The candidate should possess prior knowledge of and prior experience conducting logistics operations in complex environments (DOD or otherwise). This includes emerging logistics innovation tools and methods both internal/external to DOD.
Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in order to provide information, articles, written reports, and presentations to include delivering executive summaries to flag and general officers (FO/GO) and Senior Executive Service (SES) level officials. Must have experience providing regularly scheduled project plans and status reports.
Must have familiarity with big data and analytics required for Logistics Common Operational Picture (LOGCOP) support.
Required to have a TS/SCI. Previous experience working TS/SCI classification level projects.
Ability to use state of the art computers and demonstrate skill in using integrated software (e.g., MS Office suite).
Highly Desired Experience:
Master's Degree from an accredited college or university or graduation from a military command and staff college and 8 years of experience in the area of military logistics.
