AECOM’s Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM’s Government business line and is comprised of three divisions — International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world. Job Summary

Makes repairs to aircraft following orders of higher grade worker. Removes, cleans, reinstalls, or replaces defective parts, accessories, and components such as worn gaskets, couplings, and fittings; bad actuators, accumulators, gauges, sections of corroded fuel and oil lines, worn cable pulleys, frayed spark plug cables, and burned-out landing lights, using hand tools. Makes adjustments and settings such as cable tension and seat movement settings and adjustments. Obtains standard parts such as fuel and oil line connections and fittings, cable linkage, and spark plug cables and harnesses by referring to parts manuals and by making comparisons with samples. Services engines and aircraft components at line station making repairs, short of overhaul, required to keep aircraft in safe operating condition. Will be required to pass and maintain a U.S. Government background security check as well as favorable fingerprints in EQIP. May be required to complete a SF-85/86 in EQIP as required to maintain possession of a CAC card. Unfavorable background check may result in termination if determination is made you are not eligible for a CAC card. All Work Center X-53 personal will be required to obtain Plane Captain qualification with 30 days of hire. All personal assigned to work center 140 will be familiar with all T/M/S aircraft. AH-1W, AH-1Z, UH-1Y aircraft. In addition all work center 140 and X-53 will be qualified to fuel and de fuel aircraft

Minimum Requirements

• Shiftwork and detachment are required.

• High School graduate or equivalent with a minimum two (2) years actual and recent organizational level aircraft maintenance experience desired.

• Must have completed military aviation maintenance training or maintenance technical school curriculum or possess an FAA issued A&P license.

• Prior experience with U.S. Marine rotary aviation experience on UH-1Y,AH-1Z, AH-1W highly preferred.

• Knowledge and use of special tools/equipment required to perform assigned maintenance tasks is mandatory.

• Work is performed primarily outdoors under all types of weather conditions with exposure to loud noise and exhaust fumes.

• Ability to read and interpret technical publications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

• Should be a self-motivator and work with minimum supervision.

• Must be able to meet physical requirements associated with and/or pass any medical examination requirements related to performing daily assigned tasks.

• There is a great deal of standing, climbing, bending and stooping.
