About the Business Line
AECOM’s Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM’s Government business line and is comprised of three divisions — International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. URS/AECOM has an opening for a Warehouse Specialist (Class V- Ammunition ) in Qatar.
The Supply Technician (Ammunition) is responsible for the handling procedures and explosive safety requirements for the issue, receipt, storage, maintenance, shipping and transportation of ammunition. Must be active in collecting transactions affecting asset visibility, serial numbers, condition codes, lot number identification by class and compatibility group, and DODIC data/transfer as required IAW AR 55-355, AR 190-11, AR 190-51, DA PAM 385-64 and DOT Regulations. The Supply Technician (Ammunition) is responsible to escort, load, and unload trucks in the ASP. Additionally, the Supply Technician (Ammunition) must maintain magazine data cards and pantographs on location and update as necessary. Must sort, visually inspect and locate items by DODIC, lot number and condition codes. This position must perform magazine and lock maintenance as directed, location surveys and sensitive item inventories as directed and must know the proper procedures for operating equipment while working in the ASP.
US Citizenship and SECRET security clearance required.
3 Years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Must maintain a current state drivers license and be trained to operate forklift up to 6000 pounds.
