Job Summary

URS/AECOM has an opening for an Inspector, Weapons in Kuwait.

Must be able to perform Inspections at the direct support and general support level of maintenance and any repairs of small arms and other infantry weapons and towed artillery.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Perform inspections of the following activities under limited indirect supervision in accordance with established procedures:

  2. Inspect Repairs of all U.S. Military small arms, machine guns, mortars, howitzers, chain guns and direct fire systems.

  3. Perform inspections of all levels of maintenance from 10 to the 40 level General Support, IAW TM's.

  4. Perform inspections of all "A" services: an inspection that checks all components by the 10,20,30 and 40 levels to include all gauging, function checks and repairs or placement of parts.

  5. Must have knowledge of the maintainer’s armorer toolbox and the function of each tool and what it should be used for.

  6. Must have knowledge of the use of small gauges and precision measuring gauges.

  7. Must have Knowledge of COSIS- storage of weapons and repair parts in special control areas.

  8. Inspect and Provide direction to Armament Repairer of direct support maintenance for small arms, ensuring weapons repaired to military standards.

  9. Observe and follow all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment.

  10. Must be able to record and document all maintenance activities on the proper work packets.

Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements

  • This is a position with a physical rating of heavy.

  • This position requires a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the Small Arms Maintenance Field.

  • Should have experience in the 45B Series Army MOS, 2111 Marine Corp MOS or 3POX1B Air Force MOS.

  • Must have thorough knowledge of Army technical publications.

  • A current Secret Security Clearance is required.

  • Graduate of Aberdeen Proving Grounds Maryland and Lackland Air Force Base Texas have preference.

  • Civilian applicant must provide proof of extensive training in weapons manufacturing.

  • Assist the armorer with small arms repair operation.
