URS/AECOM has an opening for a Motor Vehicle Metal Mechanic in Kuwait.
Repairs damaged bodies and body parts of automotive vehicles, such as automobiles, buses, and light trucks according to repair manuals, using hand tools and power tools. Removes upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window- and seat-operating equipment, and trim to gain access to vehicle body and fenders. Positions block against surface of dented area and beats opposite surface to remove dents, using hammer. Fills depressions with solder or other plastic material. Removes damaged fenders, panels, and grills, using wrenches and cutting torch, and bolts or welds replacement. Straightens bent frames, using hydraulic jack and pulling device. Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools. Refinishes repaired surface, using paint spray gun and sander. Aims headlights, aligns wheels, and bleeds hydraulic brake system. May paint surface after performing body repairs. Trains junior mechanics on techniques and processes, procedures, and customer relations Techniques. Issues written and oral instructions. Maintains harmony among workers.
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum three years general work experience.
Minimum one year of specific experience which will demonstrate knowledge required to perform requirements of position.
High school diploma or GED required.
May substitute experience for education at the rate of one year of specific experience for one year of high school.
Prefer candidate with two years applicable training from an accredited technical school along with experience automobile body repair.
Level II English.
