About the Business Line
AECOM’s Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM’s Government business line and is comprised of three divisions — International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world. GSS supports the U.S. Government, non-U.S. Governments and industry clients with worldwide program management, planning, design, operations and maintenance, logistics, aviation services, security, international development, environmental and civil engineering and mission and intelligence support.
URS/AECOM has an opening for a Logistics Operation Center Manager Unit Set Ops) in Kuwait.
The Logistics Operations Center (LOC) Manager is responsible for operational planning and synchronization of the supply, transportation, maintenance, and retrograde operations to support routine and non-routine mission requirements. The LOC is a 24 hour operation is the central hub for all requests for logistical support.
Oversee the LOC staff and operations center
Effectively manage supply, transportation, maintenance and retrograde operations simultaneously
Maintain responsive interface with the Army customer on a continuous basis to ensure mission requirements and expectations are met
Provide updated status to the Government on cost, schedule and mission performance weekly
Ensure records are up-to-date and maintained accurately
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Bachelors degree in Business or related field and at least seven years of military operations experience
Comprehensive knowledge of Army operating methodologies and the use of appropriate logistic information systems
Experience in managing an operations center similar in size to the LMOC
Familiarity with the operations in the Kuwait Area of Operations
Ability to prioritize operations based on the commander's priorities
Exceptional interpersonal skills to interact professionally with the government customer and with employees at all levels.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills to conduct meetings, execute plans, prepare reports, plans, and working instructions.
U.S. Citizenship and SECRET security clearance required.
