Position Title ESH Specialist
Kuwait - Al Jahrah
URS has an opening for an ESH Specialist in Kuwait.
The ESH Specialist is responsible for inspecting and evaluating the workplace, equipment and practices for adherence to the Environmental, Safety and Health Program (implemented by the ESH Manager) and government health and safety standards and regulations. The ESH Specialist must have the comprehensive knowledge of DoD, OSHA, OEBGD, ISO 9001:2008 and 14001 standards, hazardous waste management, and other applicable Federal regulations. Must be able to perform risk analysis, develop programs that exceed basic regulatory compliance, identify needed resources (such as personal protective equipment) and budget for resources, identify required training for employees in various operations, perform and document training, document and submit monthly performance metrics, perform ESH inspections, implement employee reward and recognition program.
Bachelor's degree in ES&H-related field, i.e., Engineering, Chemistry, Biology or other sciences. Or equivalent experience
3 years of position-related experience.
ES&H-related experience may be substituted for educational requirements.
Good written communication skills; working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.
Position may require travel.
This position may require the ability to obtain and/or maintain a Security Clearance.
