AECOM’s Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM’s Government business line and is comprised of three divisions — International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world. GSS supports the U.S. Government, non-U.S. Governments and industry clients with worldwide program management, planning, design, operations and maintenance, logistics, aviation services, security, international development, environmental and civil engineering and mission and intelligence support.

Job Summary

URS/Aecom has an immediate opening for an Assistant Maintenance Manager in Kuwait.

The Assistant Maintenance Manager provides secondary level support to the Maintenance Manager for APS5 – Kuwait.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Enforces strict adherence to technical data and management procedures.

  2. Adjusts resources to meet production requirements.

  3. Assigns adequate supervisory coverage for each shift.

  4. Provides required information and reports in a timely manner.

  5. Resolves issues and recommends actions to improve delivery of services.

  6. Ensures accurate daily documentation of maintenance actions.

  7. Reviews and evaluates management and production effectiveness.

  8. Analyzes personnel and equipment performance history using QA reports.

  9. Initiates management actions to meet new workloads or correct reported/perceived deficiencies.

  10. Manages the maintenance planning cycle.

  11. Ensures only qualified personnel accomplish maintenance with the appropriate equipment and tools.

  12. Ensures compliance with safety directives, appropriate occupational safety and health standards, and applicable industrial safety publications.

  13. Ensures scheduled and unscheduled maintenance actions are entered and completed in the MIS.

  14. Advises the production supervisor of conditions that may disrupt the orderly and controlled execution of the maintenance plan.

Minimum Requirements


  • At least ten (10) years of maintenance level supervisory experience (military vehicles) and a comprehensive knowledge of applicable governing regulations, policies and procedures.

  • A comprehensive knowledge of the US Army Logistics STAMIS in use to include AWARDS, GCSS-Army, and USR.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact well with the customer and with employees at all levels.

  • Appropriate verbal and written communication skills to conduct meetings, execute plans, prepare reports, plans and working instructions.

  • U.S. citizenship and a SECRET security clearance also required.

Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred.
