Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources.
AECOM is a leading global provider of environmental and infrastructure services to the Oil & Gas Industry. The Oil & Gas Regional Market Sector Leader (Environmental Services) will be based in Calgary and will focus on leveraging our global contracts more fully into the Canadian market. In this role you will work for the National Business Line Sales and Marketing Director, and collaboratively with Regional Business Line Leaders, Regional Market Sector Leaders, and Key Account Managers will grow profitable business and ensure financial success of the Business Line and AECOM. You will provide market sector leadership; will lead the sales process for key pursuits, as well as will lead business development teams to define capture strategies and directs the most important pursuits, especially for key accounts and major projects.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
Develop overall market growth strategies, which articulate market trends/drivers and recommended priorities to successfully invest and grow, consistent with the business line’s and AECOM’s overall growth objectives
Coordinate and support the activities of Regional Market Sector Leaders to maximize business for key accounts within the market, especially for global, national, multi-regional and regional accounts, and assist Regional Market Sector Leaders to develop local key accounts
Develop client strategies, or coach Key Account Managers in the development of their client strategies, and direct, coordinate and/or track their implementation
Drive client prioritization and investment recommendations to focus on opportunities and clients who deliver meaningful business volume, have good growth upside, and yield attractive returns on investment. Conversely, facilitate evaluation, recommendations and decision-making on client accounts and opportunities of lower investment priority.
Lead capture strategies for key pursuits and major projects within the market and ensure those strategies yield high capture rates
Lead market specific external affairs and branding activities that promote AECOM
Draw upon technical expertise within the technical practice network to coordinate market specific technical solutions to existing and emerging needs
Provide analysis and performance forecasts against business plans, and when necessary make timely adjustments of priorities to achieve plans
Ensure the proper staffing of Regional Market Sector and Key Account positions
Provide mentoring and coaching to Key Account Managers and foster mentor-protege relationships between key and developing accounts
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, geology or related discipline
10+ years of related environmental consulting experience with at least 5 years in sales, business development and /or marketing in the Alberta Oil & Gas Market
Ability to understand client organizational structures and procurement processes
Demonstrated business development and leadership performance
Strong communication, collaboration and team building skills
Agile response to fast paced work environment and organizational change
