Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Contracts Manager to be based in our Calgary, Alberta location.

This position will provide the following:

  • Supervises and coordinates the following: preparation of proper forms, documents and formats in relation to Contract planning, formation and negotiation; the administration, issuance, evaluation and documentation of contract activities; and the preparation, direction and monitoring of contracting policies and procedures.

  • Monitors project performance to ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations and the terms and conditions of the Contract.

  • Identifies potential problem areas as early as possible.

  • Manages Contract plan preparation to include the development of schedules, preparation of lists of potential qualified contractors, and preparation of bidder's lists for individual Contracts.

  • Maintains contact with client and company representatives regarding status of various Contracts to protect client and company interest by verifying that contractual activities and records are in accordance with established policies and procedures.

May include the following responsibilities:

  • Works under administrative direction.

  • Responsible for the efficient operation and performance of the department.

  • Works on unusually complex problems, providing solutions requiring sophisticated and advanced techniques and procedures.

  • Is thoroughly knowledgeable.

  • Acts virtually independently and is self-supervisory.

  • Work is checked as to effectiveness in meeting objectives.

Minimum Requirements

Education:

  • This is a senior level management position functioning on a large project, group or subsidiary with a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, law or a related field

Experience:

  • 8 years of experience in contract administration or 16 years of work experience in contract administration or a related field.
