Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented BIM Manager for immediate employment for the Calgary office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

  • Report on the Area B&P current and projected state in regards to BIM implementation, services and utilization

  • Create, upgrade and deploy strategies for the B&P BIM business model

  • Evaluate the area workflow, strategies, budgets, projects, staffing, etc and make recommendations, then follow through to ensure success

  • Evaluate new BIM related software and technologies and make recommendations based upon office needs, workflow process and efficiencies

  • Set up and manage software products, including but not limited to incorporating new version releases and customization

  • Manage the implementation of supporting software, custom toolbars, macros and other programing for BIM

  • From time to time, serve as a project level BIM Lead

  • Support coordination of project standards with customers

  • Assist project teams in BIM project setup

  • Create families and manage BIM content

  • Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers to receive, coordinate, and update all electronic models

  • Provide hardware and network recommendations, and interface with IT services as it relates to BIM production

  • Provide internal BIM training and continuing education to staff

  • Attend conferences, seminars, and workshops for BIM; with train the trainer dissemination of learning to the team

  • Lead the team effort to Identify and capture BIM business opportunities

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities and experience

  • 8+ years Building Engineering BIM Leadership experience

  • Expert level knowledge of Autodesk Revit

  • In-depth knowledge of technology based collaboration systems

  • Proven prior experience with large & complex BIM project delivery

  • Proven coordination process experience including working with consultants using multiple platforms

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and multiple deadlines

  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with other team members and disciplines

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills a must

  • Ability to obtain DoD Clearance

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

  • BIM Certification

  • Experience with additional BIM platforms

  • DoD Secret Clearance
