About the Business Line
We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design-build.
AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented and motivated Junior Municipal Civil Engineer.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Support in the delivery of infrastructure and utility management /planning solutions to clients within the lower mainland of British Columbia and elsewhere
Projects may include planning (including hydraulic modeling), engineering design, construction, maintenance and financing of municipal infrastructure
Work successfully within a team environment and the ability to communicate effectively with other project team members and clients will be expected
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent). Eligibility for registration as an Engineer-In-Training with APEG BC is required
2+ years of experience in municipal engineering planning, design, construction management and contract administration
Understanding of basic civil engineering principles (i.e. hydraulics, statics) in the planning, design and implementation of projects in a wide variety of Civil Engineering disciplines within the municipal water, wastewater and stormwater sector
AutoCAD proficiency is required
Excellent communication skills including verbal and written
GIS and Hydraulic modelling software experience
MMCD Contract Administration experience and certification
Training and experience in project management
Experience in proposal writing and job scoping
Valid class 5 driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for field trips
