Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a Building Architectural Technician for immediate employment in the Burnaby, British Columbia office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitors and documents conformance with quality, performance, safety and code requirements

  • Assists with site inspection for compliance with specifications and maintaining project documentation

  • Any other duties assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology from a recognized post-secondary institution

  • 5+ years of professional experience

  • Expertise in REVIT and AutoCAD

  • Construction Administration experience

  • Working knowledge of the BC Building Code and regulatory by-laws

  • Complete understanding of technical principles, theories, concepts, and techniques on tasks of moderate to difficult scope which involves independent judgment

  • Willingness to take on a variety of assignments

  • Experience with 2D and 3D modeling programs such as Sketch Up or Rhino

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks

  • Excellent detailing skills

  • Ability to be a team player

  • An aptitude to work with existing structures

  • Must possess a valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous transit experience

  • Hand sketch and design ability

  • Mechanical knowledge
