About the Business Line

We address the complete spectrum of energy challenges, including clean and renewable energy, energy efficiency and carbon management, hydropower and dams, thermal, geothermal and wind power generation, and transmission and distribution.

Job Summary

As a result of a significant project pipeline, AECOM’s Resources, Power and Industry business line is looking to build a network of experienced Mechanical Engineers to support the successful completion of a range of projects in accordance with project time, quality and cost.

As part of a dynamic, consulting environment, you will have the opportunity to work on small to medium scale projects within the Resources and Industrial fields. Working with industry experts, you will support project delivery to a broad range of clients and industry sectors including mining, minerals processing, chemicals and defence.

In order to contribute to the successful delivery of world-class projects, this will be an ongoing campaign which aims to utilise experienced Mechanical Engineers within the business unit on short and medium term contract basis.

This is an expression of interest campaign for our Brisbane Office.

Minimum Requirements

You will ideally have the following knowledge and experience:

• Post graduate experience in the heavy industrial or mining sectors;

• Experience in the design and specification of fluids handling systems and equipment;

• Experience of working within a consulting environment.

You will be agile in your approach, with the ability to move into projects at short notice and deliver high-quality work output.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering; and

• Proficient in the use of fluid transient modelling software (Bentley Hammer or equivalent)

• Proficient in the use of pipe stress analysis software (Autopipe or equivalent)

• Petrochemical experience would be a definite advantage
