About the Business Line
Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources.
AECOM has an exciting opportunity for a diligent environmental professional to join the team in our Brisbane office. Working as part of our established Geoscience and Remediation Services (GRS) team, you will provide technical input, task management, report preparation and field work for contaminated land assessment and remediation projects. This role will give the opportunity to further develop your technical skills and will see you contribute to all stages of contaminated land projects from due diligence to developing conceptual site models as well as analysing remedial alternatives and preparing environmental management plans. You will also be involved in field work.
Working with AECOM means that you will be given exposure to a wide range of contaminated land assessment and remediation projects across oil & gas, energy, mining and land development industries as well as the Australian Department of Defence. Our team also services a number of internal clients on large infrastructure projects. Working with a team of specialists, you will further refine your project management and business development skills, contributing to the overall success of the business.
• 3-8 years industry experience, preferably working within a consulting environment;
• Demonstrated experience in contaminated land management, environmental site assessments and remediation, including leading field work;
• Experience in coal seam gas and mining projects;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A relevant University Degree in either geology, hydrogeology, chemistry, environmental or related engineering;
• Experience using databases ESdat or EQuIS – Desirable;
• Current C-Class Drivers Licence – Essential;
• Four wheel drive training and other relevant industry inductions (ISI, White Card, Coal Induction) – Preferred;
• Defence Security Clearance (or ability to obtain.)
