Job Summary

AECOM’s Brisbane based Air Quality team working within the Environment workgroup has an opportunity for an Air Quality Specialist/Scientist/Engineer. As part of a large, multi-disciplinary organisation, this role will not only offer you the opportunity to work alongside our team of air quality specialists, both locally and across ANZ on standalone air quality projects, but will also enable you to collaborate with the wider AECOM network, giving you a broad exposure to a multitude of world-class projects.

Working with a high performing team of scientists and engineers you will be capable of technical delivery of air quality impact assessment and monitoring projects partnered with project management of air quality projects. An exciting part of the role is that you will be not only be developing new but managing existing client relationships.

This role will require development and submission of proposals for air quality projects across Australia (with a focus on Queensland, NT and WA) and support to other parts of the business in developing and delivering projects and proposals across Australia.

Minimum Requirements

• 2 to 6 years’ industry experience preferably working within a consulting environment;

• Experience in air quality dispersion modelling using TAPM, AERMOD, CALPUFF, CALRoads, and/or GRAL

• Experience in various methods of air quality monitoring (e.g. TEOM, BAM, HVAS and/or stack testing)

• Ability and willingness to travel as required, including working remotely in the field, typically in Queensland

• Experienced in project management, subcontractor management and client liaison

• Excellent ability in report and proposal writing

• Experience working safely on site and in remote environments

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Environmental Management
