Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources.

Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Project Analyst-Pollution Control for immediate employment in the Rio de Janeiro, Brazil office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Executing technical support of projects involving Pollution Control Project related environmental compliance services including performing studies and analyses, regulatory research, auditing, creating spreadsheets, and compiling and writing reports and other documents

  • Development of flowcharts for communication and documents exchange in order to guarantee the waste traceability

  • Development, receipt, assessment and periodical review of the Waste Maritime Manifests (MMRs)

  • Development, receipt, assessment and periodical review of the Non Compliance Reports (RNCs) elaborated by the shore base;

  • Receipt, process and monthly evaluation of the records carried out by the shore base (MMRs, RNCs, MTRs, CDFs and pictures)

  • Continuous review of all documents (MMRs, RNCs, MTRs, CDFs) to correct any mistake and to improve the waste traceability

  • Development and monthly update of a consistent databank with several waste indicators considered important to continuously improve the waste management

  • Development a monthly report of waste indicators to be submitted monthly to client

  • Ensure compliance on projects related to other environmental media may also be supported, as the candidate's qualifications allow

  • Provide technical support to existing clients

  • Interact with clients

  • Complete projects on time and accurately

  • Demonstrate a positive, team-oriented attitude

  • Complete Strategic regulatory analysis, complying with applicable national and international legal requirements and best practices related to waste, effluents and atmospheric emissions management

  • Interface with regulators

  • Develop technical presentations and reports (NT 01/2011 and others)

  • Conduct internal technical reviews and detail checks

  • Participate in any necessary meeting with client, sub-contractors and/or Environmental Agency

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, chemistry or biology

  • 2+ years of total experience – Pollution Control Project implementation experience

  • Knowledge about waste, effluents and air emission management

  • Fluent in English speaking and writing advanced

Preferred Qualifications

  • Good oral and written communication

  • Organization

  • Experience with technical reports
