Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a talented Senior Interior Designer for immediate employment in the Boston, MA office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Plans, designs, and specifies furnishings for interiors primarily for transportation buildings; other building type might include office building and other commercial or government buildings

  • Uses presentation and 3D software to communicate concepts and ideas visually

  • Formulates designs which are practical, aesthetic, and conducive to intended purposes, such as enhancing user experience, moving people, creating exciting and comfortable seating and amenities, etc.

  • Combines knowledge with aesthetic vision, works with clients and internal design professionals to develop design solutions that are functional, visually exciting and attractive to meet the needs of the people using the space

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field

  • 8+ years of experience with transportation building such as airports, train stations, transit centers and other public spaces

  • Possess strong design skills

  • Ability to work on teams

  • Ability to create and make presentations to clients

  • Experience using drawing software such as SketchUp and/or other 3D Graphic software

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in related field

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience

  • ASID Certification
