About the Business Line
Our talented experts are dedicated to managing the complexity inherent in construction projects, catering to each client’s unique needs. We provide services such as program management, construction management and owner’s representation to our clients around the globe.
The Program Management/Construction Management (PM/CM) Division of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Scheduler for immediate employment in the Boston, MA office. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in scheduling, planning and risk management.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Create, maintain and review project schedules in Primavera P6
Analyze schedule and time impact submissions by contractors
Identify and investigate the root causes of schedule delays and variances
Gather and assemble data for updating schedules and progress reporting
May participate in planning and scheduling meetings to gain insight to planning and scheduling issues
Develop and maintain WBS
Assemble data for schedule revisions and network updating
Gather data for schedule baseline development and maintenance
Support monthly report reviews submitted by contractors
Facilitate schedule workshops
Interface with Risk Assessment tasks, identifying schedule uncertainties and developing preliminary risk registers from interviews with Subject Matter Experts
Coordinate schedule development and/or risk assessment tasks; being the point of contact for staff from various areas
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or similar discipline
4+ years of experience using any scheduling software working on engineering, procurement and construction projects
Demonstrated skills in identifying, analyzing and solving problems with full comprehension of cost and resource loaded schedules
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to use drawings and specifications for schedule development
Ability to develop Critical Path Method (CPM) logic for elements of the engineering, procurement and construction process
Familiarity with construction contracting and the scheduling implications of contract terms
Understands CPM scheduling concepts and principles and able to develop basic engineering, procurement and construction logic driven schedules
Proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel
May require visits to project sites outside of the country to verify field conditions or for client meetings
Master of Science in engineering or MBA
10+ years' experience preferred
Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP) Certification
Risk Analysis/Value Engineering/Constructability Analysis workshops participation
Familiarity with @Risk, Primavera Risk Analysis or other Monte Carlo simulation software packages
Ability to obtain US Goverment Clearance
