About the Business Line


We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design-build.

Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Project Engineer to support management of design and A-E services during construction of missile defense related projects in our Boston, MA office.

As a lead member of the project management team, the incumbent serves as an assistant to the project manager.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Receive, record, track, copy, scan, file, and distribute all project correspondence and documents

  • Manage the quality assurance of the team

  • Assist in processing RFI’s, submittals and change orders

  • Coordinate the work of the engineering team during design and construction

  • Interact professionally with the client and other connected with the project

  • Handle multiple priorities with attention to detail and be able to work independently

  • Project production experience, standards and regulations

  • Ability to author reports, edit specs and organize and run meetings

  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to learn client requirements and carry them through to the design

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering

  • 5+ years engineering experience in vertical construction

  • Experience in construction inspection and project administration, submittal processing, RFI management, change order management, report preparation, meeting minute preparation, file management and document management

  • Experience in the use of various software including Microsoft Office products and other PM Software (ie: Microsoft Project)

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment

  • Ability to acquire federal security clearance

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized professional, with excellent communication skills and have the ability to build and maintain a team environment at all times

  • US citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with USACE, MDA and/or other federal agencies

  • PE license
