Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources.

Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Project Engineer to be based out of Bogota, Colombia office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Performing site inspections

  • Performing field job, Phase I& II, soil and groundwater monitoring

  • Performing engineering designs and calculations

  • Preparing reports

  • Preparing remedial action plans

  • Conducting feasibility studies and compliance audits

  • Subcontractors Supervision

  • Performing ASTM site assessments Phase I&II

  • Performing Risk Assessment (RBCA)

  • Planning and conducting general fieldwork including excavation, vapor, soil and groundwater investigations, monitoring programs and site remediation

  • Experience at Environmental Impact Assessments/ Environmental Supervision Plan/ Waste Management Plan & others Study with similar

  • Assisting with and completing data management, interpretation and reporting for phase assessment and remediation programs

  • Preparing and adhering to site-specific health and safety plans to mitigate or eliminate risks to oneself and other AECOM staff, client’s personnel and the public

  • Representing AECOM with its clients and liaising with client representatives

  • Mentoring field and staff

  • HASP preparation and implementation

  • JHA

  • Reporting Incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions

  • Conducting safety observations on field, office and driving

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field

  • 5+ years of experience working in the environmental consultancy area, i.e. (Environmental Impact Assessment, Environmental Supervision Plan & Supervision, Environmental Site Assessment Phase I & Phase II, Groundwater sampling procedures according with local and international standards, knowledge Risk Analysis RBCA or other and Remediation methodologies)

  • Ability to exhibit safety awareness and safe work practices

  • Good written and communication skills

  • Strong computer skills in Word, Excel, Project

  • You will be required to travel and fieldwork will comprise a large component of your workload and a valid Colombian driver’s license is required. It is expected that you will have excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to liaise with a diverse group of people, particularly our clients and suppliers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master degree in Environmental Science/ Environmental Management or other

  • Environmental and Chemical Engineering experience

  • Proficiency English level
