Job Summary

The Infrastructure and Environment Division of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Quality Assurance Manager for on-going projects at Fort Pickett located in Blackstone, VA. This position is well suited for a smart, self starter with project management skills.

As a lead member of the construction management team, the incumbent serves as an owner’s representative on behalf of General Services Administration (GSA) and the end-user Federal Agency.

The incumbent will support the Project Management Staff with project administrative and quality assurance supervision duties including:

  • Receive, record, track, copy, scan, file, and distribute all project correspondence and documents

  • Manage the quality assurance team and third party testing agencies

  • Establish, implement and manage quality assurance procedures

  • Assist in processing RFI’s, submittals and change orders

  • Coordinate the work of the contractor

  • Interact professionally with the CM firm, GSA, tenants, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, salesmen and others connected with the project

  • Handle multiple priorities with attention to detail and be able to work independently

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 8+ years of experience

  • Experience in Quality Assurance for federal construction projects

  • Experience in management and oversight of multiple inspectors and third party testing firms

  • Experience in construction techniques and process

  • Experience in construction inspection and project administration, submittal processing, RFI management, change order management, report preparation, meeting minute preparation, file management and document management

  • Demonstrated proficiency in the proper use of the English language is required

  • Experience in the use of various softwares including Microsoft Office products and other PM Software

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment

  • Ability to work in a field office on the jobsite

  • Ability to acquire federal security clearance

  • US citizenship required

  • Valid driver's lisence
