AECOM’s Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM’s Government business line and is comprised of three divisions — International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world. Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic. Performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and building requiring practical skill and knowledge (but not proficiency) in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work. Typical duties to include: replacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, motors, using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks and ceilings and walls, repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets, painting structures and equipment; repairing or replacing concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks, replacing damaged paneling and floor tiles hanging doors and installing door locks replacing broken window panes, and performing general maintenance on equipment and machinery.

Minimum Requirements

  • Active Top Secret SCI Clearance with a willingness to be submitted for higher level government clearances to include a government polygraph.

  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in trade or building maintenance.

  • Basic skills in painting, plumbing, carpentry and minor electrical knowledge.

  • Must have knowledge of preventative maintenance programs

  • Must be able to operate hand power tools and machinery

  • Knowledge of building codes and safety codes

  • Possess practical knowledge of repairs, installation of floor and ceiling tiles, plastering walls, framing form work

  • Must possess the skills and attitudes to effectively communicate with the customer and client

  • Must have ability to read blue prints
