Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Site Quality Manager to be based in our Beloit, Wisconsin location.

SCOPE : The Quality Engineering job family plans and directs activities concerned with the development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for processing materials into partially finished or finished material or product.

Quality assurance and quality control are important aspects to this job family. Quality assurance includes all those planned and systematic actions necessary to provide adequate confidence that an item or a facility will perform satisfactorily in service. Quality control includes all those aspects of quality assurance, which provides a means of control and measures the characteristics of an item, process or facility to established requirements.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Manages a group of quality employees in an office or construction site of a project.

  • Plans, conducts and directs Quality Control Inspections and Quality Assurance Surveillances.

  • Possesses and applies an advanced knowledge to the completion of projects.

  • Ensures the product is designed, procured, and installed in accordance with customer and company quality requirements and within established budgets.

  • Makes frequent decisions using principles and professional independent judgment.

  • Provides technical inspiration, leadership, and consultation to professional co-workers.

  • Provides leadership for quality assurance and quality control support on assigned program(s) and/or areas to ensure that the product is designed, procured, and installed in accordance with customer and company quality requirements.

  • Provides leadership for new systems, development, proposals, implementation, procedures, and any related quality activity.

  • Analyzes, evaluates, and plans methods of approach and organizes means to achieve solution of complex technical problems.

  • Conducts investigations and tests of considerable complexity. Reviews project process and evaluate results.

  • Evaluates vendor and subcontractor capabilities and performance to provide required products or services.

  • Provides technical consultation to lower level engineers, technicians, and inspectors.

  • Acts as liaison with outside suppliers and subcontractors in establishing or modifying specifications for purchased items.

  • Devises and applies testing procedures for parts or sub-assemblies received from outside vendors.

  • Participates in the development, maintenance, and refinement of internal quality control and reliability programs.

  • Recommends corrective action to quality problems.

Minimum Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Experience :

  • 10 years experience in area of specialization. Lead Auditor/Auditor Certificate desired.

Other:

  • Due to the nature of work, candidate must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident of the United States.

  • Good oral and written communication skills; working knowledge of Microsoft applications.

  • Organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.

  • Position may require travel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Successful project experience on Cogen Power Generation projects.

  • Auditor/Lead Auditor certification preferred.

  • Current or previous AWS-CWI certification a plus.
