AECOM is seeking a Project Controls Intern for our Beloit, WI location to begin in May 2017.
The AECOM Internship Program is designed to engage students from colleges, universities and technical schools in the practical application of a major administrative or technical study and to familiarize the intern with the interactions and requirements of the industry. Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional. Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience.
Responsibilities may include:
• Develops fundamental knowledge of planning and scheduling concepts and principles including effects on financial performance.
• Develops familiarity with data sources for schedule development
• Collects data and updates and produces scheduling reports
• Assists in assembling data for schedule updating.
• Assists in the measurement of project schedule progress
• Exposure to basic scheduling and cost baseline fundamentals, concepts and principles.
Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited 4 year college or university and seeking a Bachelor’s degree majoring in Engineering, Construction, or related field with the intent to attend the subsequent term as a full-time student.
Must have completed a minimum of 90 credits prior to the start of the internship.
Due to the nature of work, candidate must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident of the United States.
Previous construction or scheduling internship experience
College coursework in project controls, planning, scheduling, or project management
Primavera 6 (P6), Excel, or Access software experience
Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
Relocation or per diem support is available for this position.
