Position Title CAD Technician, Infrastructure, Global Delivery Centre, Bangalore

“As part of the strategic initiative, Global Delivery Centre (GDC) organisation has been established in AECOM India to provide a wide range of technical services to other parts of AECOM offices around the world. At present, GDC has a core team of 70+ personnel experienced in Building engineering and Transportation design, located in Gurgaon and Bengaluru, India. Further growth is underway to meet the plan of establishing 300+ team size, by the end of FY16, to provide technical services in multi-disciplinary building engineering, Architecture and Structural disciplines. In the initial phases of growth, dedicated teams are formed to cater to the needs of UAE and UK offices of AECOM”.
A CAD/BIM Modeler will carry out a wide range of tasks in support of the technical staff.
The appropriate level of technical expertise is required in order that the Job/Project Accountabilities listed below can be carried out to the necessary standards.
May provide support to project staff in general office duties including filing, control of incoming/outgoing documents, photocopying, scanning documents, etc.
Prepares CAD drawings and assists with some general CAD office duties.
Able to work independently on smaller projects of any project type.
Work as part of a team on larger projects, meeting deadlines and issue dates.
Gaining further experience in RC Detailing and co-ordination of details.
May provide guidance to less experienced CAD Technicians.
Develop awareness of BIM and 3D modeling.
Reporting to Local or Business BIM Manager/Director.
Must have worked at a similar level on major civil infrastructure projects including rail, roads, highways.
International projects experience would be preferred.
Understand the commonly used forms of contract and the implication to drawings produced on each project.
Shows willingness and enthusiasm, actively contributes.
Supports colleagues, seen as a team player
Verifies that work carried out is correct
Will have obtained a basic technical qualification (Diploma or equivalent).
Working knowledge of AutoCAD/ BIM softwares
