Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Office Engineer for employment in the Baltimore, MD office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain the contract records

  • Establish filing system and supervise clerk typist to see that files are in good order

  • Review Inspectors’ Daily Reports for completeness

  • Compute pay quantities

  • Prepare periodic, semi-final and final estimates

  • Review activities of Inspectors as they relate to quantity measurements to assure measurements are current and there are no omissions

  • Receive, log-in and transmit Contractor’s shop drawings and material sample submittals to the reviewing authority and transmit approved drawings to Contractors

  • Continuously review shop drawing log, job schedule and job progress and advise Resident Engineer whenever it appears that the Contractor’s efforts are lagging

  • Attend progress meetings and prepare minutes

  • Compile data required for reports to be submitted by the Resident Engineer

  • Assist Inspectors during periods of intensive construction activity

  • Other duties are assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma

  • 5+ years of experience in senior level administrative support

  • Familiarity with programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Effective communication skills

  • Ability to be organized

  • Able to take direction and execute requests efficiently
