Job Summary

AECOM has an exciting opportunity in Afghanistan on the MOSC-A contract for a Theater Benefits Administrator .Provides analytical and technical support in the delivery of the benefit programs and benefit administration. Maintains confidentiality of all Human Resources information under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), including: limiting the number of individuals involved in an alleged injury and/or illness to a “need to know basis”, not divulging sensitive information given in meetings, and using information for business use only. Manages medivacs for all personal medical situations. Provides employee medical documents to Comprehensive Healthcare Services for review to ensure CENTCOM compliance prior to processing “return to work”. Analyzes claim activities and prepares reports for management. Coordinates with managers and employees for missing/inaccurate/illegible paperwork for correct processing. Ensures compliance with applicable government regulations and company policies. Assures timeliness and accuracy of required filings; short-term/long-term; disability. Provides customer service support to AC FIRST/GSS employees. Investigates discrepancies and provides information in non-routine situations. Interprets benefit plans, filing process and benefit policies to all employees. Develops communication tools to enhance understanding of the company’s benefits package. Designs, distributes and executes materials for benefit orientations and open enrollment. Creates and conducts presentations using audiovisual tools including power point. Provides training and support to NEAT team associates and HR office associates, as required. Gathers and submits information for unemployment claims. Maintain employee benefit files. Administers and processes enrollments, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, accident and death claims. Outside contacts include physicians, insurance companies, network providers, drug companies, other benefits vendors and outside consultants.

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, required.

  • HIPAA Certification is required.

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Human Resources, required.

  • Must have proven working experience in case management.

  • Must have effective communication skills.

  • Must have excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Must have problem solving skills and ability to multi-task.

  • Must be compassionate with teamwork skills.

  • Must have computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize MS office (Word, Excel, Power Point), are required.

  • Must have knowledge of all pertinent federal regulations, filing and compliance requirements both adopted and pending affecting employee benefit programs, including ADA and DOL requirements.

  • Must have strong written and oral communication, negotiation and presentation skills.

  • Must be able to handle confidential company and employee information with complete discretion.

  • Must have high-level organizational and planning skills, so that workflow is managed efficiently and accurately.

  • Must be detail oriented - Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a task.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BS degree or certification in the healthcare field, preferred.
