AECOM has an exciting opportunity in Afghanistan on the Afghanistan - Eagle contract for a Specialist-Warehouse. Leads Warehousemen in day to day operations. Makes and prepares labels for shipping using multi-pack boxes, wooden skid and 463L pallets with netting. Conducts escort of Host Nation Trucks to and from the Entry Control Point (ECP). Ensures correct items are loaded on arriving trucks simultaneously. Ensures proper documentation accompanies shipment and shipment is sealed with tamper proof seal. Operates 5 Ton truck or below for delivering or picking up loose pieces of cargo for delivery to and from the A/DACG, SSA, DRMO or other destination as identified. Receives cargo from the A/DACG, FED-EX, UPS, DHL and SSA. Operates MHE from 2K through 12K. Conducts PMCS and operator maintenance on equipment and vehicles assigned to the section. Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records. Ensures all receiving and shipping documents are maintained IAW PW S and regulations. Determines method and mode of shipment to customer requirements. Prepares and expedites shipments. Prepares all shipping documents in a timely and accurate manner. Posts weights and shipping charges. Receives and processes all defective parts returned for replacement or credit (RMA). Ensures appropriate adjustment action and documentation is processed for shipment/receiving discrepancies and lost, damaged or destroyed action is initiated and properly submitted. Follows work site and vehicle safety directives, procedures and rules. Ensure strict compliance to safety practices and support the AC FIRST Safety Policies and Procedures. Instills a safety first mentality within respective work areas and a culture that achieves low accident rates and minimal lost-time injuries. Adhere to ISO Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions in support of the AC FIRST Quality Management System. Performs other duties as assigned.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 1 year experience in warehouse, supply, inventory control or related field required.
Work experience may be substituted for educational requirements and/or educational achievements may be substituted for years of experience. Example: Two (2) years of experience is equivalent to (2) years of college and vice versa
Must have knowledge of the Arm y retail supply system, technical supply operations and established policies preferred.
Must have a basic knowledge in the use of MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and other related
Must be able to use various freight software and label matrix programs.
Must be able to function, through demonstrated proficiency, with an advanced level of English, both oral and written.
Must have the English language speaking ability to speak the language with sufficient structural accuracy and vocabulary to participate effectively in most formal and informal conversations on practical, social, and professional topics. Must be able to read standard newspaper items addressed to the general reader, routine correspondence, reports, and technical materials in the individual's special field.
Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively during a 77 hour work week.
Must be able to lift 25 lbs. continuously, 50 intermittently.
Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
NACI /Tier 1 for US Citizens and PCC for Non US Citizens
Valid Driver’s license required.
Must be able to obtain a 5984-E Army Standard license.
Preferred Qualifications US Army MOS 92A or 92Y preferred.
MHE experience preferred.
