Job Summary

AECOM has an exciting opportunity in Afghanistan on the MOSC-A contract for a RTCH/MHE Operator . The Operator operates heavy equipment such as forklifts, wheel tractors, off-highway trucks, and RTCH. Performs generalized maintenance and safety checks on equipment and minor repairs. Uploads and downloads supplies, equipment, and ISO containers and flat racks. Reads and interprets grade and slope stakes and simple plans. Loads and unloads fuel and other materials. Greases, adjusts and makes emergency repairs to equipment.Performs MHE support for disposal of unserviceable equipment and supplies not economically repairable.Conducts PMCS and operator vehicle and equipment checks using the appropriate forms (DA Form 461-5 and DA Form 2404). Ensure strict compliance to safety practices and support the AC FIRST Safety Policies and Procedures. Instills a safety first mentality within respective work areas and a culture that achieves low accident rates and minimal lost-time injuries. Adhere to ISO Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions in support of the AC FIRST Quality Management System.Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • 1-3 years’ experience and training on RTCH required.

  • Experience on MHE equipment (10K or above) required. Must be able to operate RT-240 RTCH.

  • Must be able to operate MHE 10K and above.

  • Must be able to conduct PMCS.

  • Must be flexible as mission requires.

  • Must have good oral and written communications skills in English.

  • May be required to relocate to other sites for mission support.

  • Must have the ability to analyze and interpret US Army Technical Manuals

  • with relation to vehicle maintenance and repair.

  • Must have knowledge and experience of automated supply systems,

  • equipment operations and regulations, MHE policies and related technical

  • manual procedures.

  • Current RTCH, forklift, and heavy equipment operator’s license required.

  • Valid driver’s license required.

  • Must be able to obtain a 5984-E Army standard license upon arrival in

  • Afghanistan.

  • Must have active NACI.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Overseas contracting experience preferred.
