AECOM’s Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM’s Government business line and is comprised of three divisions — International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. Job Summary

AECOM has an exciting new opportunity in Afghanistan on the MOSC-A contract for an Occupational Health Administrative Assis tant. The Assistant maintains efficient workflow of both digital and paper documents, check patient records for accuracy and completeness, code files for classification and study purposes, convert paper files into electronic formats and enact security protocols to protect documents from unauthorized access. Implements cost reduction measures when approved; and developing time saving procedures Communicates with insurance companies regarding coverage and billing issues. Administers appropriate correspondence with the US Department of Labor, ensuring LS202, LS 204, etc. are submitted in a timely manner. Receives and places phone calls/emails to employees, clinics, hospitals and vendors Answers questions from employee and providers with speed and professionalism 7. May also be required to research issues in order to troubleshoot problems. 8. Exercises integrity, ethics, and discretion in handling routine and confidential matters. 9. Maintains recordkeeping systems for confidential information Efficiently and effectively prioritizes and completes multiple high priority tasks and works with in deadlines Preparation of reports, analyzing data, and identifying solutions as requested Performs data entry and uses software programs specific to our operation Ensure strict compliance to safety practices and support the AC FIRST Safety Policies and Procedures. Adhere to ISO Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions in support of the AC FIRST Quality Management System. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

  • HIPPA Certification, is required.

  • American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) Certification, is required.

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Medical Administrative Assistant;

  • Medical Secretary; Health Information Technician or similar medical

  • experience, is required.

  • Requires a strong background in medical terminology and office protocol

  • procedures.

  • Demonstrates ability in strong communication skills and analytical skills.

  • Ability to maintain business etiquette through emails, telephone

  • conversations and in meeting environments.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Word and Excel.

  • Strong listening, written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to work responsibly, problem solve and adhere to policy even when

  • under pressure.

  • Must be technical adept to utilize systems software in

  • efficient and effective manner.

  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

  • Strong organization and prioritization skills.

  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude, self-motivated professional.
