Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources.

Job Summary

The Role

We are looking for a talented Principal Environmental Scientist to join our leading team of industry experts and develop AECOM’s environmental offering in the NZ market.

Day to day responsibilities will include;

  • Providing leadership and technical expertise on environmental investigation and remedial design projects.

  • Preparing site investigation reports, remedial design reports, work plans, specifications, proposals, budgets and project schedules and provide solid oversight and review of intermediate and junior employees work.

  • Providing leadership for practice area planning and goal setting, working with other senior members to provide integrative services for current and prospective clients.

  • Sourcing new and repeat business through maintaining and developing internal and external client relationships.

Minimum Requirements

About You

We are seeking a self-motivated individual with a strong client focus who is able to demonstrate;

  • Appropriate tertiary qualification; BSc or MSc in relevant discipline i.e. Environmental Science or equivalent

  • 15 years relevant professional experience

  • Successful track record in environmental investigation and remediation

  • Substantial environmental project experience, ideally for a consultancy

  • Experience in successfully leading project teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the NZ market
