Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking to hire immediately a Lead Roadway Engineer to join our Atlanta, GA office. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a team of roadway engineers on large and mid-size transportation engineering design projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead and perform roadway design tasks including horizontal and vertical geometry, cross sections, drainage design, right-of-way plans, signing and marking, and erosion control plans

  • Design of roadway widening, intersection improvement, streetscape, safety and operational improvement, new location, pedestrian facilities, and bridge replacement projects

  • Leading design teams and mentoring younger design staff on roadway design projects and tasks

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field

  • 10+ plus years of experience in engineering roadway design

  • Knowledge of GDOT plan development process, design policy manual and electronic guidelines

  • InRoads design experience

  • Must possess a valid driver's license
