Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Landscape Architect for employment in the Atlanta, GA office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare planning documents, conceptual and schematic designs, construction details, construction documents, technical specifications and cost estimates for a wide variety of public and private sector projects

  • Perform field reviews and analysis of project sites and study areas and prepares written documentation of observations and conditions

  • Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member

  • Perform tasks with initial direction from staff and management

  • Assist senior staff with business development for the Transportation Group

Project types include but are not limited to:

  1. Land planning

  2. Streetscape and complete street planning and design projects

  3. Park master planning and design

  4. Landscape beautification projects/gateway

  5. Trail design projects

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Landscape Architecture or Environmental Design required

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience

  • Must be self-driven, highly motivated and efficient at production work associated with construction documentation and presentation graphics

  • Interested in pursuing Landscape Architect license

  • Must be proficient in Adobe Suite Software, AutoCAD

  • Strong technical/construction documentation skills

  • Ability to work with a collaborative team of multiple disciplines, convey thoughts and ideas in a clear and concise manner

  • Ability to learn new software quickly

  • Ability to organize data in an efficient and clear manner

  • Ability to learn through on-the-job experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Entry-level proficiency with LandFX, Microsoft Office, or SketchUp, or other related CADD software

  • Prior experience with trail and streetscape projects, using GD​OT’s PDP process

  • Collaborative attitude and passion for the profession
