Job Summary

The National Governments marketing team is looking for a Proposal Manager for our National Governments marketing and proposal team in Arlington, VA to support Federal government pursuits for the DC Metro region. The group is responsible for preparing proposals, presentations, and other support for A/E/C and Environmental services for DOD and Civilian Federal government agencies.

The senior proposal manager will be responsible for:

  • Participating in capture strategy and pre-proposal planning

  • Driving proposal outlines, content, and schedules

  • Writing and editing content such as executive summaries, resumes, project descriptions, and other narratives

  • Leading proposal reviews by management and technical staff

  • Participating in or leading/coaching short-list presentation preparation

  • Updating Salesforce CRM database, including client, opportunity, and project records

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 6+ years' experience

  • Experience leading and writing IDIQ and task order proposals valued from $20M to $100M or higher for professional services to DOD and Civilian Federal government agencies for work in the United States and abroad

  • Experience managing proposals for a professional services company

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong writing and editing skills

  • Ability to work in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint

  • We are looking for a team player who can work with a team located across time zones, can manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and is deadline-driven

  • Work will occasionally be required in the evenings or weekends to meet deadlines or to coordinate with staff in different time zones

  • Occasional travel may be required as well (less than 10%)

  • Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have industry (AEC/environmental) experience with a range of markets (architectural, engineering, infrastructure, environmental, etc.)

  • Experience managing proposals for professional services contracts worth $20M and higher for the US government is strongly preferred

  • Experience supporting different business units located around the country is strongly preferred

  • Demonstrated training or certification in proposal management or marketing professional services is a plus

  • Experience with one or more CRM databases such as Salesforce or Deltek Vision, including adding, maintaining, and researching CRM records is preferred

  • Experience with InDesign is a plus
