Job Summary

AECOM is seeking an Operations Coordinator to support our DC Metro customer.

Job Duties / Responsibilities

  • Interface with Executive DS and Department of State Management, and other stakeholders as needed.

  • Assist with event and program preparation, planning and execution

  • Serves in a project administration capacity while assisting in overseeing/coordinating all project activities.

  • Coordinate between Senior DS Offices or officials and team members, with an eye towards most efficient and effective project outcomes.

  • Responsible for the creation and coordination of recommendations, proposals, work plans, and overall deliverables. Ensure those items are coordinated with other stakeholders involved in project delivery.

  • Communicate with other DS and Department entities to assist in needs assessment, scope definition, and risk.

  • Review project plans to determine time frames, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources

  • Familiarity with developing and maintaining an IMS (Integrated Master Schedule)for complex government projects, maintained in a government workspace

  • Ensure that regular feedback on performance is provided to the Government on all areas of contract performance.

  • Monitor contract expenditures and ensure that established budgets are not exceeded.

  • Other duties as directed by the Team Lead


Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field, and at least 7 years of job-related work experience or equivalent.

Must have 7 years project management support experience.

Knowledge and understanding of Project Management fundamentals and principles required.

Highly detail-oriented with ability to prioritize tasks independently, accurately complete work under tight deadlines, and provide timely and accurate responses to data and information requests.

Strong analytical skills

Must have a Secret level security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred experience in working with/for the federal government, experience in large unit consolidation, knowledgeable of Microsoft Office (to include Project), RACI charts, IMS (Integrated Master Schedule), etc. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Project preferred.
