AECOM is seeking a Business Process Analyst/Scheduler to support our DC Metro area customer. The selected candidate:
Must work as part of a team and keep all team members/management updated on activities. It is essential that he/she be an active team member who shares information gathered throughout the project. The team member must work well with others on the team and considerate of all opinions. Must be able to take direction from leadership.
Defines and documents customer business functions and processes for implementation of Training Management System (TMS). The application requirements will include Course Scheduling, Registration, Lodging, Staff Allocation, Asset Management, Resource Management, Learning Management, and Records Management.
3 Consults with functional unit management and personnel to identify, define and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, and levels of systems access.
Acts as a team member with departmental end-users, technical analysts, information technology analysts, consultants and others as directed in the analysis, design, configuration, and testing of proposed Training Management System (TMS) to ensure optimal operational performance for the Foreign Affairs Security Training Center (FASTC) and other Bureau of Diplomatic Security training venues.
Analyzes the feasibility of, and develops requirements for, new systems and enhancements to existing systems; ensures the system design fits the needs of the users. Assists customer in the evaluation process as a participant in the Technical Evaluation Panel.
Tracks and fully documents changes for functional and business specifications; writes detailed universally understood procedures for permanent records and for use in training.
Identifies opportunities for improving business processes through information systems and/or non-system driver changes; assists in the preparation of proposals to develop new systems and/or operational changes.
Reads and interprets case management systems and functional technical literature and translates in terms understandable to the end-users.
Recommended solutions should be developed in consultation with impacted internal and external stakeholders, but should remain objective and independent of the specific stakeholders.
Researches and prepares statistical reports using data computer systems and internal surveys. Consolidates information into cohesive and understandable correspondence or other written form for use in management decision-making.
Participates in user acceptance testing and testing of proposed TMS functionality.
Participates in studies of new and existing programs and special projects to determine feasibility, resolve problems including organizational, procedural, technical and fiscal research and analysis; develops policy and procedures to improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and/or improve internal and external customer service; develops information system documentation to support recommendations.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field, and at least 3 years of job-related experience or equivalent.
relevant experience in business process analysis, review and improvements, requirements definition and workflow analysis.
The Analyst II is knowledgeable in or capable of, but not limited to, the following:

Familiar with technology concepts
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Customer Surveys and Interviews
Provides program management, program oversight, project management, and program integration support.
Works independently with minimal supervision
