Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Construction Manager for immediate employment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide oversight of construction related activities and supporting the PM, as needed

  • Assists in developing solutions for unforeseen site conditions

  • Review contract submittals

Planning Phase:

  • Attend field walk of new project area

  • Participate in SOW review, focusing on constructability of the project and ensuring that lessons learned are incorporated

  • Assist PM with Schedule & IGE review

  • Assist with preparation of Evaluation Criteria

Awarded Projects

  • Leading pre-bid site walks

  • Monitoring the Contractors schedule, from design through the Closeout phase, to ensure compliance with Contractor schedule and contract requirements

  • Participates in reviews of design packages to ensure that contract requirements are included and focusing on the constructability of the project

  • Assisting the PM in locating laydown or storage areas for projects

  • Completing regular field walks to ensure compliance with Contractor schedule and contract requirements and to assist in proactively identifying any challenges or coordination needs for upcoming work activities

  • Working directly with Contractor to resolve day to day issues within the boundaries of the awarded contract requirements; will alert PM of any issues that may impact project schedule, unforeseen conditions, etc

  • Managing the internal support team (QAs, Project Controls, CX, Safety, etc) to ensure compliance with contractual requirements related to submittal reviews, RFI responses, invoice reviews, etc.

  • Reviewing all NCN notices that they receive from the internal team and passing relevant NCN recommendations onto the PM for their issuance

  • Reviewing all Contractor work plans for outages and permits to ensure that all planned work is clear, complete, and acceptable

  • Leading regular progress meetings with Construction Contract and OGCs for each project, when requested

  • Assist with preparation of interim CCASS evaluations, as requested

Project Closeout:

  • Supporting the Transition Specialist, as needed, to located transition documents or enforce contract requirements with Contractor

  • Assist with preparation of interim CCASS evaluations, as requested


  • Attend field walk of change order area

  • Participate in SOW review, focusing on constructability of the project and ensuring that lessons learned are incorporated

  • Assist PM with Schedule & IGE review

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in construction management, engineering or related field; or equivalent combination of technical training and/or experience

  • 5+ years of construction management work experience

  • Ability to form teams and proactively coordinate numerous items on a schedule

  • Ability to review and evaluate the project schedule

  • Ability to read and interpret contract requirements and to read engineering drawings

  • Ability to collect, analyze and compare work performance with contract requirements and to make recommendations to for any performance issues

  • Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing

  • Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years of relevant work experience

  • Familiarity with Design Build contracts

  • Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Office Products: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software
