Job Summary

AECOM has an opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer 1 supporting our program in Annapolis Junction, MD. The Engineer performs a variety of engineering assignments in planning and overseeing research, development, design, manufacture, test, installation, operations, and maintenance of electronic equipment and systems and generally as a member of a design, analysis, or review team. The selected candidate will perform design, development or review tasks in specific areas under close supervision; design a portion or section of an analysis or design review; assist in generation of specifications and engineering data; assist in the preparation of reports and correspondence; establish and maintain a filing system or databases as needed for tracking project status; develop, maintain and produce technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications; interface with customers in design reviews and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications; verify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures; and perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or related scientific field.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS security clearance.

  • 0-1 year of job-related experience or equivalent.

  • Good communications and analytical skills.

  • Must have a working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs.

  • Position may require travel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active, fully adjudicated TS security clearance is preferred.
