About the Business Line
AECOM’s Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM’s Government business line and is comprised of three divisions — International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world. GSS supports the U.S. Government, non-U.S. Governments and industry clients with worldwide program management, planning, design, operations and maintenance, logistics, aviation services, security, international development, environmental and civil engineering and mission and intelligence support.
AECOM has great opportunities for Construction Manager’s that would support non-hazardous OCONUS and CONUS activities, with the possibility of deployments lasting 3 to 6 months at a time. Selected candidates will be responsible for the organization, direction, supervision and coordination of construction activities on a project site as delineated in the applicable procedures and Site Specific Safety Plan. Other responsibilities include being responsible for work procedures, scheduling, cost control, project specification conformity, establishment of manpower levels, monitoring and implementation of safety programs, project conformance to national, local and/or company building codes and the maintenance of accurate records; implements the construction portion of the assigned project through day-to-day direction of all field activities and is responsible for all job site activities; ensures timely and efficient execution of fieldwork; acts as the primary customer contact for all construction project field activities; ensures all construction is in compliance with design specifications, is completed on schedule, adheres to budget, meets accounting requirements and is built to quality standards; functions as a Project Manager on a direct-hire construction-only project or as the field manager on an engineering/ procurement/construction management project; under minimal supervision, manages small to medium size projects or a major geographic area on a mega project; responsible to a member of the Project Managers job family or the Operations Manager job family; ensure completed work is reviewed for desired results; establishes field objectives and procedures within company guidelines as necessitated by conditions at the job site; perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Must have an Active TS Clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in a Construction related discipline or demonstrated combination of equivalent education and experience.
10+ years construction and project related experience.
Possess a thorough knowledge of all engineering disciplines, construction technologies and job site management. This is a journey level position and the first level of Construction Management. Good oral and written communication skills required.
Working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.
Must be able to obtain a U.S. Tourist passport before start date.
CI or FS Poly preferred.
OCONUS experience preferred.
Current, valid U.S. passport preferred.
