About the Business Line
AECOM’s Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM's Government business line and is comprised of three divisions — International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world. GSS supports the U.S. Government, non-U.S. Governments and industry clients with worldwide program management, planning, design, operations and maintenance, logistics, aviation services, security, international development, environmental and civil engineering and mission and intelligence support.
AECOM has a great opportunity for an Electrical Engineer in Australia. This is a O&M program for a mission critical customer responsible for the facilities operation and maintenance services to include construction, power generation, warehousing, medical support, temporary quarters, transportation systems, environmental health and safety, security, information technology, housing, as well as all aspects of maintaining and repairing the site and its ancillary buildings. The selected candidate will be responsible for the management, oversight and planning for engineering design, procurement, and construction or modifications to the installation that effect the performance of critical mission systems. This individual will approve and manage red line drawing, SOW’s and ROM’s for proposed engineering solutions and modifications to the installation. He/she will establish and maintain an engineering technical library and like informational repositories. The System Engineer is responsible for the successful operation and planning associated with program related configuration management, project/construction management, recapitalization planning and engineering related functions.
This is a sourcing requisition for future hiring needs.
Ability to engineer and design an electrical system from generation to rack mounted equipment.
Must have a thorough understanding of SCADA systems and Building Management Systems.
TS/SCI Clearance with CI Poly.
Minimum of 15 years of experience which shall include mechanical and electrical systems, working with the government, working in a secure atmosphere, experience in data centers (power and cooling), configuration management experience and knowledge and experience with the Uptime Institute, SCADA and building management systems.
Must be able to design packages and be a self-contained engineer.
NEC Expert Required.
Experience with instrumental control.
Must have native-like fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Prior DOD and OCONUS Facilities experience is a strong plus.
Knowledge and experience with SAP is preferred.
Professional licensed engineer (PE) in Electrical of Mechanical Engineering preferred.
MP and Lean Six Sigma Certifications preferred.
