Savannah River Remediation, an LLC of AECOM, is seeking a HR Services Coordinator to be based in our Aiken, SC location.
Primarily responsible for the administration of the company’s employment records and provides Human Resource (HR) services coordination, administration, and assistance to support the company’s HR programs, policies & practices.
Creates, updates and maintains employment records (both paper and electronic)
Creates personnel and benefit folders, ensures new hire paperwork is complete and in file, transmits forms for data input, and audits for accuracy.
Enters information into E-Verify, ensures I-9 forms are filed, maintained and properly removed per retention guidelines.
Copies and forwards personnel or benefit file information to authorized individuals.
Maintains all employment records in a timely manner ensuring all appropriate ongoing employment transactions and documents are filed and in the correct folder.
Responds to DOE, Internal Audit, or other regulating authority requests to view employment files while continuing to ensure file security and confidentiality.
Responds to verbal or written employment verification requests.
Ongoing exposure to confidential and Personally Identifiable Information (PII). Ensures PII is handled per company and site policy.
Pulls terminated employee records and sends to storage per procedure.
HRIS PeopleSoft data entry and use
Learns and maintains in-depth knowledge of the business process rules for entering data into the PeopleSoft system. Gains working knowledge of relational database structures, tables and queries to be able to perform functions of the position.
Retrieves approved Change of Status (COS) forms or other incoming information and documentation. Ensures appropriate authorization and enters changes into PeopleSoft (e.g. pay, title, shift, department changes etc). Ensures data entry audit is complete. Makes and/or oversees corrections as appropriate.
Responds to request for information. Creates special queries and runs established queries.
Employee termination coordination
Completes the exiting employee process by generating and sending out termination information to the employee and others that require notification.
Schedules and meets with exiting employees ensuring all documents are signed off and employee badge is collected and properly dispositioned with the Badge Office.
Generates and/or calculates pay granted to employees under premium pay plans (e.g. overtime, premium or extended shift, detail, absence relief) and forwards for payment.
Acts as a resource for HR related employee questions. Answers basic questions and directs employees on where further information may be found. May assist with new hire orientation.
Reports, reconciliations, and compliance
Produces monthly and quarterly headcount reports.
Reconciles the monthly travel expense statement and generates accounts payable vouchers.
Produces quarterly report for bereavement absences and ensures compliance to the policy. Initiates corrections as necessary.
Periodically audits compliance of other HR policies as directed by management.
Administers the company’s tuition reimbursement program.
Assists with elements of the company’s student programs (work hours, benefit eligibility, holiday pay)
Provides wide-ranging support to HR and its professional staff.
Provides general office support such as ordering office supplies, troubleshooting office machines, and conference room booking.
Participates on special projects or initiatives as requested (workforce restructures, benefits changes, process improvement).
Processes and files time bank donations.
Other duties as assigned.

High school diploma or GED and a minimum of 5 years of professional, administrative, secretarial, or clerical experience and/or combination or secondary education and experience related to the position’s responsibilities.
Those with a Bachelor’s degree may qualify with 1+ years of experience as outlined above. Experience and education may run concurrent.
Due to the nature of the work, candidate must be US Citizen
HRIS People Soft data entry experience.
A minimum of 1 year experience in an HR office environment.
