Job Summary

Savannah River Remediation, an LLC of AECOM, is seeking a FLM Electrical & Instrumentation (E & I) to be based in our Aiken, SC location.

Responsible for the direct supervision of mechanics ensuring that work is in compliance with Work Control, Safety, Quality, and Conduct of Operations. Typically Reports to and takes direction from the Electrical Maintenance Manager.


  • Plan, coordinate and supervise the activities of assigned mechanics that maintain, repair, install and test a variety of systems, equipment, components in assigned areas/facilities.

  • Implement standards, policies, practices and disciplined operations ensuring employees are informed and adhere to rules and regulations.

  • Ensure personnel perform work safely and influence others to be active in SRR Safety Program “BBS”.

  • Ensure that mechanics are trained and qualified for their activities and are physically fit to perform the work

  • Coach, teach, mentor and provide technical and administrative expertise to mechanics

  • Monitor work performance to ensure quality of work and compliance with work control, safety, quality, and conduct of maintenance, as well as to provide supervisory oversight and guidance.

  • Review and approves work packages and lockouts for maintenance activities.

  • Understand and follow current Administrative, Electrical Safety, 8Q Safety and Work Control procedures.

  • Interface with scheduling to develop accurate work schedules.

  • Inform management of issues or concerns in the areas of planning, scheduling, equipment, documentation, modification, design, and training.

  • Cognizant of assigned on and off shift work activities including responding to off duty phone calls and site visits.

  • Provide relief when other supervisors are absent.

  • Provides support to the preventive and predictive maintenance programs

  • Communicates with other support organizations to ensure activities are started and completed as scheduled

  • Performs initial investigations of abnormal events, including the removal from service of equipment and systems as necessary

  • Performs periodic rounds of the facility to observe mechanic activities and ensure they are being performed safely and in accordance with approved procedures

  • Identifies housekeeping or facility deficiencies and notifies appropriate personnel for corrective action

  • Ensures that mechanics review changes to operating procedures and plant modifications

  • Perform FA10 Assessments and monthly MFO’s

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

Internal Candidates

  • 3+ years’ experience as a salary grade level 20 Senior E&I/Maintenance Mechanic

External Candidates

  • High School Diploma and 6+ years’ experience as a trained mechanic.

Due to the nature of the work, candidate must be US Citizen

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preference given to Candidates who are current employees of Savannah River Remediation LLC (SRR)

  • Current Savannah River Site Electrical Qualifications

  • Current facility knowledge of Tank Farm Evaporators and MCU Process and Instrumentation
