Job Summary

Australia has embarked on an exciting and strategically important program for the nation to build and deliver a new regionally superior submarine, whilst sustaining and modernising our current Collins Class submarines. AECOM is a valued team member that for over 40 years has been providing superior above-the-line professional support services for submarine programs for Australia, the United States, and the United Kingdom. We are seeking a Configuration Lead to join our above the line team in order to expand our offerings to the Commonwealth of Australia (CoA)

We are seeking expressions of interest to work with AECOM on a secondment to our key client on a rolling contractual basis.

About the Role:

  • Responsible for the development, implementation, compliance and review of policies and procedures

  • Plan, lead and manage a range of resources and exercise the associated people and process responsibilities

  • Provide a process for Configuration Management for the Platform Delivery Team (PDT)

  • Act as key decision maker in major design changes

  • Provide an effective Change Management function through the development and implementation of relevant processes and procedures

  • Support, as required, the PDT Section Leads

  • Deliver high level advice to stakeholders in relation to the Configuration Management function and relevant supporting administrative guidance

Minimum Requirements

  • A minimum of Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) clearance will be required

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the maritime sustainment environment (preferably submarines)

  • Extensive knowledge of modern Configuration Management tools and procedures

  • Be a team player, capable of working in a diverse team to achieve a common outcome

  • Display initiative and be able to work with minimum supervision

  • International travel may be required from time to time
